The Path of a Young Man Wisdom is applied knowledge. Someone who is wise uses the knowledge taught to them by their mentors and discovers new pieces of knowledge. Throughout this unit, my definition of wisdom has not changed, but instead, has expanded. At first, I thought wisdom only had to do with interactions with other people and common sense, but I learned that it also had to do with spiritual things. Section 1: Wise ways of the world Awoken is not a person with common sense. He attempts to shoot one of is wives in a fit of fury during the Week of Peace, something that is frowned upon bathe Gobo society.
If he had more common sense, he would not have attempted to shoot his wife, no matter how mad he was, and instead, he could have isolated himself from his family in his quarters so he didn’t have to hurt anybody or even attempt to do so. Another thing he could’ve done is take deep breaths and think about what he was going to do. He needs to calm down in order to think ahead, and have the Right View, so that he can understand that people have imperfections. Then he should have the RightIntention, which includes having a resistance to anger, something Awoken clearly has a problem doing. Being angry all the time clouds up the mental part of life and impairs the ability to do the right things at the right times. Someone can do the right things, but at the wrong time and it seems like he or she did not do the right thing.
(1 94 words) Section 2: Moral and Intellectual Wisdom One time when was a younger child, I had to go through a martial arts test so I could reach my goal of becoming a black belt. It was both physically and mentally demanding, and that’s where learned that hard work pays off.The test started off with remembering all the techniques from the seventeen previous belts, which wasn’t too hard, but then we had to do boxing, which include jabs, crosses, hook punches, and uppercuts. That was where my three test mates and I started to break a sweat. We were all out of breath, and the instructor was just getting started. He made us do all sorts of self-defense, and made us spar the people who were already black belts, where we all started to lose hope.
We persevered through, and once we were all beat up, he made us go on a run of about three quarters of a mile.Normally, that would not have been a problem, but it after nearing exhaustion, it was one of the hardest things ever, but I still had no idea what was yet to come. He then made us do 50 pushup, 50 burgees, 50 bag jumps, hold a plank position for two minutes, and to cap it all off, he made us do 100 squats. It was like one massive cross-fit session.
My experience at that test told me that I could do anything I wanted, as long as set my mind to it. Could have been more confident and could have trained more so I would have an easier time, though it still wouldn’t have been easy.Someone who could have helped me was my dad. He always tells me to practice more than I think I need to and become the best at whatever do. He could’ve motivated me more so I wouldn’t even have to think about giving up. It really helps to be confident so the limits can be pushed and records can be broken. (336 words) Section 3: Spiritual Needs One aspect of life that confuses me is why females always overreact. I wish I could know for certain why girls do these things from their point of view without them saying, “Girls don’t overreact! ” I have tried to find out, but to no avail.
I want guidance in this area because I want to genuinely help the people that really do need help, especially the girls, because they are the ones that seem to need more help. One person who I would love to be is Dry. Phil. He always knows what to do so the person who needs therapy will feel better. He also seems to understand the female gender, and want to learn his secrets Of how he learned. In a perfect world, he would teach me how he knows everything he does, and I can learn from him and start making money so I can life a luxurious life and support my family.I would change my way of speaking o all women, and instead speak in a very understanding tone so I wouldn’t offend them. Until can understand, won’t change my tone, and I will learn as much as possible without being a disturbance.
This would be like Alex understanding the People of the Mist. It would change the entire perspective of how mental processing is set up.
