What are You Reading?
What is the last book you read? What is your favorite book? How about your least favorite book? Responding to these questions may have been a snap if you read a lot. However, many people hate reading and avoid it at all costs.Love it or hate it, a proficiency for reading is an important skill to have. Most people think of school when they think of reading. This is probably because as students, they were usually required to read many different, complex textbooks as a part of their education. However, reading shouldn’t end when you graduate. It should be a daily, lifelong practice.
Do you want to bake a cake? Unless you know the recipe by heart, you will need to be able to read a cookbook. Going on a road trip? The ability to read a map and road signs will be essential. Catching up on current events? Reading a newspaper is a must!
