It’s important to create and manage an effective environment. Everything a teacher (or person in charge of the learning environment being used) does creates classroom management, including forming the venue, how they speak to whomever is being taught and how they handle their responses, putting practices in position, creating rules, and teaching those rules to the learning.Classroom management can be described as having all of these characteristics. Reducing any type of problems in the learning environment is critical to learning. These can come in many forms. For example if a person’s learning environment is their home because they are an online student they would want to eliminate any distractions or find a quite space to do so in.

These distractions could be the TV, music playing, kids running around, a cell phone going off, etc…. Providing a calm, quiet, and safe learning environment will give the best results. As long as goals are established for an effective learning environment then the arson intended to learn will have the best capability to learn.

Many think there are no similarities between a learning environment and a learning style when in all actuality there are many similarities when it comes to creating an effective learning environment. A learning style can be defined as an individual’s unique method to learning based on strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. It is important to know and understand ones weaknesses and strengths when it comes to learning once those are defined then an effective learning environment can be created. Those with an auditory style may favor learning by listening in which case recorders may be provided; reading text or looking at diagrams may be favored by those with a visual style causing the need for more writing materials in a learning environment. The biggest difference when it comes to academic learning environments would be an off campus school and an on campus school. Off campus schools would be those described as an online learning environment. On campus schools would be described as learning in a physical classroom.

A person who is attending an inline based school would be responsible for their own learning environment. They would have to create an effective learning environment and would be responsible for their own environment. A person attending an on campus school would have to rely on their teacher or professor for their learning environment. This can be considered an advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage would be that the student is not responsible for creating the environment. The disadvantage would be that the student wouldn’t be in control of the distractions around them as they would be if earning from home.Everyone learns in different ways, therefore, everyone has a different learning style.

Being able to determine what their learning style is will be beneficial when it comes to creating an effective learning environment. As long as learning styles are understood, strengths are recognized and weaknesses are determined then creating a learning style based on those strengths and weaknesses would be informal. Once an effective learning environment is created then learning should come stress- free. References Tu, C.
