Letters of Robert Walton 1. Roberts long-range goal seems to be discovering new land. Walton is searching by sea to find and be the founder of land that is uninhabited by humans.
2. Roberts childhood was full of regrets. Walton disagreed with his father because his father did not want him to pursue the seafaring life.
Before Wallow’s father died he gave Roberts uncle his last dying wish to forbid him from Joining any type of voyage or life at sea. 3. Wallow’s first “career choice” was to become a poet.With the success of being a toe, Robert imagined himself achieving a status among Shakespeare and Homer. 4. Walton expects to find a ship and hire sailors for this whaling-ship in Archangel.
In order to prepare Robert has purchased a fur and is gaining strength of mind for the metal struggles that will arise. 5. Wallow’s problem is that he has no friend for his voyage. Robert is worried because he has nobody to celebrate with if he succeeds.
Also he has none to share his feelings with or cheer him up if he fails. 6.Walton relates to the anecdote about the “master” because both are uneducated en who overcame this and are noble and courageous. This suggests that Walton is a little self centered in the aspect that he believes people should commend him. The boat becomes completely surrounded by ice and stuck. Walton 7.
Characterizes the stranger on board as and extremely interesting person. Walton describes the strangers appearance as wild and mad but also at times expresses overwhelming signs of sweetness. Fraternities came from a very wealthy well respected family. His father was a honored man who fill many public positions. I believe that Shelley describes this background with such depth so that the reader can understand where Fraternities came from and how it will effect his life.

Victor gets a sister after his mother adopts and orphan named Elizabeth. On one day Victor and his mother visited an abode and met a peasant family. Among the family was a unique baby who attracted Caroline. After learning that this baby did not belong to the peasant women, Caroline adopted her. 5. Victor and Elizabeth had a very calm temperament. On the other hand Victor and Henry cleaver had a more passionate and aggressive relationship.
Both Victor and Henry were curios people. Elizabeth had kindness and gentleness which are attributes that Victor lacked.
