CONSENT TO ELECTRONIC RECEIPT OF ELECTRONIC CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, NOTICES, DISCLOSURES, AUTHORIZATIONS,
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, AND OTHER DOCUMENTS
CONSUMER DISCLOSURE
If you consent to the use of the DocuSign, Inc. ele ctronic signing system (DocuSign System),
M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. (MDC) and its affiliates (we, us or Company) will provide electronically
to you through the DocuSign System all contract doc uments, notices, disclosures, authorizations,
acknowledgements, and other documents required to b e provided or made available to you
during the course of our relationship with you (Doc uments). MDC’s affiliates include the
Richmond American Homes companies, HomeAmerican Mor tgage Corporation, American
Home Insurance Agency, Inc., AH Insurance Agency, I nc., AHI Insurance Agency and
American Home Title and Escrow Company. Documents p rovided through the DocuSign System
will include those that we are required by law to p rovide to you. Described below are the terms
and conditions for providing you such Documents ele ctronically through the DocuSign System.
Please read the information below carefully and tho roughly, and if you can access this
information electronically to your satisfaction, ag ree to these terms and conditions, and agree to
the electronic receipt of Documents please confirm your agreement by clicking the ‘I agree’
button at the bottom of this document.
Getting paper copies
At any time, you may request from us a paper copy o f any Document provided or made available
electronically to you by us. You will have the abil ity to download and print Documents we send
to you through the DocuSign System during and immed iately after each signing session and, if
you elect to create a DocuSign signer account, you may access your Documents for a limited
period of time (usually 30 days) after such Documen ts are first sent to you. After such time, if
you wish for us to send you paper copies of any suc h Documents, you may request delivery of
such paper copies from us by following the procedur es described below.
Withdrawing your consent
If you decide to receive Documents from us electron ically, you may at any time change your
mind and tell us that thereafter you want to receiv e Documents only in paper format. The
procedure for informing us of your decision to rece ive future Documents in paper format and
withdrawing your consent to receive Documents elect ronically is described below.
All notices and disclosures will be sent to you ele ctronically
Unless you tell us otherwise in accordance with the procedures described herein, we will provide
electronically to you through the DocuSign System a ll Documents during the course of our
relationship with you. To reduce the chance of you inadvertently not receiving any Document,
we prefer to provide all Documents to you by the sa me method and to the same address that you
have given us. Thus, you can receive all Documents electronically (fax or email) or in paper
format through the paper mail delivery system.

You may contact us to let us know of your changes a s to how we may contact you electronically,
to request paper copies of certain information from us, and to withdraw your prior consent to
receive Documents electronically by contacting your Sales Associate.
To advise MDC Holdings – Richmond American Homes of your new e-mail address
To let us know of a change in your e-mail address w here we should send Documents
electronically to you, you must contact your Sales Associate. In addition, you must notify

In addition, you must notify DocuSign, Inc to arran ge for your new email address to be reflected
in your DocuSign account by following the process f or changing e-mail in DocuSign.
To request paper copies from MDC Holdings – Richmon d American Homes
To request delivery from us of paper copies of Docu ments previously provided by us to you
electronically, you must contact your Sales Associa te and indicate your e-mail address, full
name, US Postal address, and telephone number.
To withdraw your consent with MDC Holdings – Richmo nd American Homes
You may withdraw your consent to receive Documents through the DocuSign System at any
time through one of the methods provided below. Upo n withdrawal of your consent to receive
Documents electronically from us you will no longer be able to use the DocuSign System to
receive Documents electronically. To inform us that you are withdrawing your consent and that
you no longer want to receive future Documents in e lectronic format you must either:P>
i. decline to sign a Document from within your Docu Sign session, and on the subsequent
page, select the check-box indicating you wish to w ithdraw your consent, or;
ii. contact your Sales Associate and verify your e- mail address, full name, US Postal
address, and telephone number. The consequences of your withdrawing consent for online
documents will be that transactions may take a long er time to process.
