A family that emphasizes on hard work is where I grew up. The person who inspired me was my mother.
She is great at multitasking, the way she managed work as a lecturer of electronics along with taking care of our family was truly inciting. I have spent most of my after-school hours in her cabins or mostly in labs, where she used to work with electrical components and networks. By watching all those on daily bases, unknowingly I was fascinated by electronics. For my undergraduate studies, I have opted for “Telecommunications Engineering” in Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of technology, Bangalore. The course gave me ample learning opportunities and nurtured my talents proficiently. The curriculum exposed me to the latest technologies and I could mold myself as a skilled engineer. The curriculum even exposed me to computer courses thus laying a strong foundation for my fundamentals.
I had significantly completed a certificate course with respect to C & C++ programming from DATAPRO Computers Pvt Ltd.To gain more industry exposure, I had attended a vocational training at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. Apart from being introduced to a vast network, the training laid emphasis on imparting knowledge related to the latest technologies and services. Another industry visit was to Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh – one of the prime Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) centre in India. As part of this visit, we have attended a session about space vehicles and how they will be launched into space through simulation process. I visited many work-stations during these industrial visits where I observed how an organization works with the necessary staffing like managers, employees, officers, workmen, etc.
The metamorphic moment of my undergraduate study was my final year Project. I did a project titled as “Identification of Diseased Leaves for Sericulture” using MATLAB. It was all about the incorporation of image processing with electronic components to identify the diseased mulberry leaves used for sericulture. The major role of my project prototype was to collect data, conducting the tests and documenting the results. During this process, I had realized the importance of Big data for predictions of diseases.
That method of collecting data ultimately became complex, due to numerous types of diseases. So I have used data warehouse and data mining to extract the data. I have also visited University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK campus, Bangalore regarding my project and pursued their way of predictions.
Even I had explained to them how my project could be helpful for weavers and which has been highly appreciated. In this progress of data collecting, it amazed me to explore more about database management so as to solve complex problems of restoring data. Apart from concentrating on my academics, I have always ensured that I participate in other activities in order to gain a complete personality. I was the event coordinator for our college and departmental fests where I organized many events assigned to me.
These fests taught me to execute something with strategic planning within a stringent frame of time. This also helped me to overcome my fear of public speaking, develop leadership skills and hone my communication capabilities. I attended the ‘Human skills development’ program in my junior year and this experience has helped me to become flexible by nature. It has made me a real people person and given me the qualities to have harmonious interpersonal communications. My educational journey has taught me the skill of being buoyant amidst challenges. I have always bounced back in the face of failure and I keep up my good work irrespective of the outcome. I have gained invaluable insights into my own defects and have been able to get past them to achieve my ends. Additionally, the multitasking ability that I have been able to display by managing studies, project work and extracurricular activities, make me a student with good management skills.
Whether it is time, effort or focus, I have learned to prioritize and manage their usage perfectly. This, in turn, makes me a great planner who takes calculated risks and brave steps to steer towards the set goal. By now, once discovering my passion, I started on genuinely contemplate something like graduate schools. Graduate Study at an American University is the best option for me at this stage, because of excellent flexibility among the educational system, interaction with the business and exposure to the most recent Technology.
It’s been my objective since then to spot with an establishment that shares my vision. I looked for a university that had progressive infrastructure, analysis oriented school and that is causative to the fields of my interest. Besides the many resources and causative atmosphere, learning at your university would offer me the chance to broaden my horizon more by obtaining an opportunity to act with such confluence of individuals from each culture, position, faith and beliefs, I’m sure that exposure to those variety of influences would aid within the overall development of my temperament. I aspire to graduate in Information Systems by refining my knowledge along with aptitudes for my area of interest. I have confidence that it will serve to aide and regulate me towards my career goal to be an analyst. By providing the chance to join your Information Systems program, I will have the ability to use my foundation previously in computers, same time taking in new abilities and strategies that will make enormously advantageous to my future profession improvement.
Current organizations are intensely dependent on the majority of the database management systems, also this may be essential analytics for the effective administration of an association. I am enthusiastic to explore this field in the vicinity of the regarded professors in your university.
