INTRODUCTIONThereare a number of components in the society or a community which have deprived oftheir basic or fundamental rights. If we point out the components the womenwill be on the top. As women are considered as a most important factor inconstituting human race even though the importance of their development isstill lagging behind.
The importance which shall be given to the women is notfocused by our modern society in a manner in which it must be focused. Thewomen are still considered on a secondary position by the society even thoughthe women contribute in equal proportion for development of a nation or acountry as man contributes. We are living in a modern world having thefundamental rights but the women are still not enjoying the basic fundamentalrights they are deprived of their rights which they have as a being on theearth. The constitution of India does not discriminate in men and women but oursociety does.
In today’s era we have to focus primary on the empowerment of thewomen. The women empowerment is not only needed in India but there is need tofocus this on the entire globe. Biologically men are women are different inbody structure but god have created both living being without giving somespecial privileges to men it is our society which has given much importance tomen as compared to women. There are many sources through which women of entireworld can be empowered. Education is the most effective tool for the womenempowerment in India as well as in the world. The need for women empowerment isalso recognized at international level.
The concept of women empowerment wasintroduced at the international women conference at NAROIBI in 1985. PanditJawaharlal Nehru once said: “If youeducate a man you educate an individual, however if you educate a woman youeducate a whole family. Women empowered means mother India empowered.”
